    Perivale

We did a survey in March to find out what the people of Perivale were looking for in their ideal Club. The findings are below along with what Club Perivale will entail...

    Getting fit

Over 50% want running machine and exercise bikes - Unfortunately as we don't have dedicated lockable space we cannot offer this.

However we are looking into a local gym deal (Gurnell Leisure Centre) and will include 5 point health checks as part of the membership along with running and cycle routes and nutritional information

    Fitness classes

The 3 most popular classes were Pilates, yoga and meditation. As long as we have minimum numbers we can offer these classes. The classes will be available to members and non members. Members however will get a discount. We will need to confirm the spaces with instructors before hand. We will also introduce additional classes throughout the year.

    Having fun

The most popular answer was a Christmas party. We can offer this as part of the membership. This will consist of a contribution per head towards a Christmas party. This will be either a drinks and nibble party at Perivale or money towards a party elsewhere. Members will have to have been a member for at least 3 months to be eligible for this benefit.

If we have a high number of members we will be able to offer a monthly drinks event.

All members will have access to the 25 connect actives and language lessons. In regards to language lessons, these can actually happen at Perivale, we only need a minimum of 6 to sign up. During the road show we will have our head instructor there to discuss the courses and ascertain what languages the staff want to take. Again languages will be open to non members, they will pay a higher fee.

All Club members will be able to join the lottery.

    Free stuff

Weekly Radio Times will be included with the membership.

We will work on local discounts and members will also have access to our National discounts as well.

We can offer tea and coffee once we hit 20 members.

Throughout the year we will look at hosting quiz nights and other events.

So, to summarise the membership would consist of the following:

    • Free weekly Radio Times
    • Contribution to Xmas party (if we have a large number of members we will look at a summer party as well)
    • 2 x 5 point health check per year
    • Access to local and national discounts on line
    • Access to Connect activities including the discounted language courses*
    • Access to discounted Vue cinema tickets
    • Access to Club Lottery
    • Access to wellbeing downloads and updates - Food informer, 10 in 10 programme and local running routes
    • Discounted fitness classes*

*We will require minimum uptake for them to take place. Also available to non members, however they will be charged at a higher rate.

Cost: £3.50 per month or £30 a year advance payment.

To put it into perspective, the Radio Times alone is worth over £70 a year.
