BBC Yacht Club Start of season Party

Set Sail on a New Adventure with the BBC Yacht Club! Looking for an exciting new hobby this year? Why not give sailing a try? And where better to start than right here at Broadcasting House! Join us for the BBC Yacht Club Season Launch Party on Monday 17th March, at the Media Café from 6 PM to meet the crew and discover what we’re all about. While we won’t have our yachts with us on the night, we’ll be sharing plenty of inspiration to get you out on the water in the coming months aboard Ariel and Prospero - fitting names for the BBC Yacht Club, don’t you think? You'll even have the chance to sign up for a trial sail this April—the perfect way to dip your toes into the world of sailing. To kick off the evening, we’re thrilled to welcome Andy Crawford, one of our members and a former BBC Radio 4 announcer, who will share his incredible experience of crossing the Atlantic last year as part of the ARC+ rally, sailing from Las Palmas to the Cape Verde Islands and on to Grenada. Come along, meet like-minded adventurers and start your own sailing journey with us!
