About
For one night only, the name of the AWBS will change. On Wednesday 23rd September, we are not the Ariel WB Society, we are the Ariel WC Society. Cider is coming to Broadcasting House, and we will be the Ariel Wine and Cider Society. With a history dating back to the Celts (the first recorded reference to cider dates back to Julius Caesar’s first attempt to invade Britain in 55BCE), a fermented apple juice has been a staple beverage in Britain for many centuries. Although much maligned in recent years, cider has lately undergone a renaissance. Please join the AWBS as we explore the world of fermented apple juice, and embark on an adventure around ciders that are readily available, and compare these with others that may need to be tracked down.
