Rambling Club

START: Berkhamsted station at 9.55 we’ll be meeting at the north entrance of the station – next to the castle. LUNCH: At the Bridgewater arms at Little Gaddesden (SP 992137). If you want to eat there, they do require numbers and our food order in advance RETURN: Back from Berkhamsted about 4-4.30pm, with frequent trains. MUD/HILLS/HEALTH & SAFETY ETC: Not too strenuous, about 8 miles, and whilst there are “undulations”, only one real hill and that’s in the morning. Mostly quite wide paths, so not many nettles if you want to wear shorts! A few sections of road in the estate, and lots of tree roots in the woods – please take the usual care.
