About BBC Club
BBC Club was founded in 1924 as a private members club. It has been a part of BBC Life for over 90 years. Today the Club is the heart of social unity within the BBC.
All BBC and BBC partners staff can enjoy a wealth of services ranging from working up a sweat to the pursuit of a life long interest; as a place to meet friends or to work up the next big idea. Members benefit from discounted rates in our Clubs and on our services as well as a plethora of additional online benefits and high street deals. We also have a private lottery, exclusive member only events, plus much much more!

Grand Union Canal Race
About
Please give priority/consideration to other canal users (the canal is open as usual).
The start is one mile from Television Centre, White City Place and White City tube station or approximately 20 minutes on foot. From Television Centre, White City Place or White City tube station – head north on Wood Lane, continuing on as it becomes Scrubs Lane, and on the bridge which crosses the canal head down the stairs to the meeting point.
The start (and finish) is on the Grand Union Canal: use NW10 6QE to find by postcode or https://w3w.co/farmer.audit.choice for the exact location.
Runners collect their numbers from the registration desk by the start, pins will be provided. We would like to start at the scheduled start time of 6.30pm so please allow some time to collect your number and get yourself ready.
The run goes west towards Harlesden along the towpath. The course is flat, and covers exactly 5 miles, 2 and half miles each way. The halfway turning point will be marshalled and marked. There will be mile markers throughout the route. Bags can be left at the start where there will be someone throughout the race, though we do stress this is at your own risk and advise you not to bring valuables if you can avoid it. There are no changing facilities on the canal, nearest changing facilities/showers for BBC staff are back at Television Centre and White City Place.
After the run, around 20:00, we’ll head to the pub (The Pavilion, W12 0HQ) for a drink or two.
Hope to see you at the run, the pub or both!
